Program Shopper
Brigade Jr. Academy Summer Program

Position Overview:
The Program Shopper plays a vital support role for the Brigade Jr. Academy Summer Program by purchasing and delivering food, culinary supplies, and materials needed for classes and activities. The Program Shopper ensures that all items are sourced in a timely, organized, and cost-efficient manner to support smooth daily operations across multiple program sites.
This role requires excellent time management, reliability, and attention to detail, along with a professional attitude and strong organizational skills.
Immediate Supervisor:
Program Manager, Brigade Jr. Academy
Key Responsibilities:
- Shop for groceries, supplies, and other necessary items at least 8 times per week, based on program needs.
- Utilize an assigned shopping card for purchases, following budget guidelines and program shopping lists.
- Deliver purchases directly to program sites promptly and in good condition.
- Communicate with the Lead Chef Instructor and Assistant Chef Instructor to ensure accuracy of shopping lists.
- Track and document all purchases and submit receipts as required for program records.
- Maintain an organized system for tracking supply orders and deliveries.
- Ensure items are transported safely and hygienically between stores and program locations.
- Be available for occasional urgent or last-minute supply runs as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a personal vehicle.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Professional, responsible, and detail-oriented approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems quickly while on assignment.
Compensation:
- Part-time hourly position.
- Mileage reimbursement provided in addition to hourly wage.
Work Environment:
- Off-site at various grocery stores and supply vendors.
- Indoor and outdoor environments during pick-up and drop-off.
- Flexible scheduling needed based on program supply demands.
